A Closet Full of Clothes With Nothing to Wear

Do you ever get stuck in your closet before class? Got nothing to wear? Let me see if I can help you out... Be mindful that you need to dress appropriate for the class you're taking. You can never go wrong with a classic look, but sometimes it feels good to spice it up without looking like you're trying way too hard... ermmmm ...

BALLET: the seamed pink tights, paired with a burgundy halter-lowback leo, a navy blue opaque skirt, and wispy, side-parted low bun with a faux yellow flower in the back. Match colors that you'd never wear out in everyday clothes. You'd be surprised with what you can pair together.

MODERN: little spandex shorts paired with a tight fitted v-neck shirt. Although it's good to mix it up, for modern type dance, I suggest sticking with neutral and earthy tones such as beige, dark green, brown, and navy.

JAZZ: so for jazz class, think Broadway. High-waisted black cut-off tights over a black leo with either a "flashdanced" style retro shirt or a cute shrug. Be creative but keep it simple. A silhouette is the most important line.

HIP HOP: now here's a genre where people go really wrong. Less is more. Layered colorful tank tops with parachute pants. High-top Converse or Firestone sneaks always give off a funky cool vibe.
