Inner Office Style

I've decided that if I'm going to be spending my days in one of the most fashionable corporate offices in New York City, I might as well document some of the style that I see.

Today, another intern, Joy, was wearing this necklace. I couldn't tell what it said because the letters are so small, so I asked her to see it more closely. She removed it and placed it on the desk. "Allergic to stupid people" it read, all as one word. Needless to say, this gem must be captured. She said she owns others adorning phrases such as "my boobs are real" and "if love is a crime then lock me up."

All made and purchased in Taiwan. Looks like I need to make a trip to see what else they got.

It's "Mikela"... #LOLThursdays

First I'm labeled as a Spanish male and then the next day I'm christened as a delicious hazelnut spread? Thanks a lot, Starbucks. Haha, all in good fun. Xx.

Refinery29's Most Creative

Refinery29 has put out their second annual 30 Under 30 list. It's a tribute to some extraordinary young adults who have set the standards high and pushed the boundaries as far as they could go. I've decided to highlight just a few of these stars as part of my admiration and true interest. I can only dream of paving a path as long and wide as some of these 20somethings have. If you can make it in NYC, you can make it anywhere. Cheers to hard work, dedication and love for a craft.

I want to start off with a bang. Shaun Ross is the first albino model to make it to the big leagues.  At only 22 years old, Shaun has already received love from the likes of Beyonce, Katy Perry and tons of media outlets. I applaud Shaun for his determination, perserverance and strong message of loving the skin you're in (especially in such an image-centered environment such as NYC.)

Mr. Entertainer, 27-year-old Zebra Katz, recently released his mix tape "DRKLING"  and has started running in full speed towards stardom. He just seems so cool and interesting. Like someone you'd want to brainstorm a project with. What forces could possibly drive Zebra's mind to a decision? I love and respect the fact that he is ready to admit his "over-acheiving, art-school-thespian geek" personality from his past. By making mistakes in art school, he says it helped him to feel more secure and confident in his endeavors. Long live the creative dreamers.

If I've ever dreamed about working with the most "me" boss, I was dreaming about Ms. Reising. At just 25 years old, she's already launched her own boutique creative agency, Sydney Reising Creative, and is working for the coolest brands in the game. Filled with swag and effervescent love of creative buzz, Sydney has landed the likes of Supreme, Hood by Air and ODD just to name a few. This young woman is without a doubt on her grind 24/7. She's the type who lives to work and works to live. I'm sure it's gotta be a rapid hustle, but man it must be an exciting ride.

Victor Cruz is one of those people you never forget. If you're lucky enough to cross paths with him (outside of the football field) or better yet work with him, I bet he'd make an impact on your life. He may or may not look like a football champion/salsa dancer/menswear designer, but I can guarantee he is all of the above. This 26-year-old Giants' wide receiver is making long strides with his clothing line, Young Whales, and crushing the competition on the football field. You can tell he was that kid who had a heart of gold. He told Refinery29 that if he wasn't playing in the NFL, he'd be a college advisor. MVP in my book.

Well, it sounds almost too good to be true. These blessed individuals' stories made an impact on my day. I hope they instill some hope, drive and passion into yours! Xx.
